The 1st lightning I shot in 2013 and it's an incredible shot. I was walking to the kitchen and looked out the window and see this BLACK storm cloud just starting to roll in very quickly over Manhattan. I told Naomi to run to the roof. I grabbed my camera and shoes. I basically recorded the entire storm as it rolled in. It was very windy before the rain hit so apologies for the shaky camera. I would rate this day as incredible. I was seeing lighting across the skyline time after time. Strikes were about 30- 40 seconds apart at is best [not all huge]. It felt safe - it was miles away at its best [night shots]. I would compare this with a best day of lightning from last year.
